While living in Denver on Good Friday at exactly midnight in 1982 I forge welded my first two pieces of metal together. I had been trying to do a simple forge weld for at least 3 days with no success. I will never forget the small personal prayer I said that night and the promise I made.
I'm sure any blacksmith remembers that first forge weld!
A number of days later with the news of my diagnosis of cancer I found myself in a fight for my life!
It is a beautiful iron cross which I still have today. Two simple pieces of scrap iron. There are some very special things about this cross Please write me and I will be glad to give you the details. I love telling the story!
Since then I have made crosses but I have vowed to never sell one for personal monetary profit.
I donate them or give them away...it's that simple.
Your donation will be added to my yearly Easter cross donation and you have my word as a Blacksmith that I will do my best hammering to help make those miracles happen!
